Once he was finally able to pick up a pen himself, he began by writing short stories about a mouse that went diving and rescued animals, and at the age of fourteen, he finally wrote his first fantasy novel. At the same time, Julius worked as a reporter for the Tiger Duck Club, acted in children\u2019s plays, and sang his heart out in school musicals.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>While studying journalism and history in Mainz, Julius gained further experience in the media industry. After completing his third fantasy novel and earning his bachelor\u2019s degree in 2021, he discovered screenwriting and was immediately excited by the opportunity to combine his two passions: writing and media.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Driven by this enthusiasm, Julius moved to the United States to study screenwriting for film and television at the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles. His time there had a lasting impact on both his writing and his understanding of the industry. To finance his studies, he worked as a script reader for the Oscar-nominated production company Buffalo 8, reading and evaluating several screenplays a week.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>After completing his studies, Julius returned to Germany in 2023 and initially worked as an editor at an advertising production company. Shortly thereafter, he received his first media grant from the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and met Richard Kropf a short time later. Since then, he has worked closely with Richard on various TV series and film projects in a range of roles, from writer\u2019s assistant to staff writer. Two episodes of SOKO POTSDAM, co-written by the pair, have already been produced by Bantry Bay; the first episode aired in January 2026.
