Antonia Scheurlen (she/her) was born in Würzburg in 1992 and lives in Berlin.
Since childhood, when she accompanied her grandfather as he moved stage sets at the local theater, she has been captivated by the magic of this world. Early experiences on stage paved the way for her passion for storytelling and entertaining people. After gaining initial experience as a presenter on radio and television, Antonia decided to pursue a degree at the University of the Arts, which she completed in 2018. Her first writing courses during her studies reinforced her desire to make writing her profession—using her work to explore diverse life realities and offer audiences new perspectives.
Although she is very familiar with crime fiction and comedy, here she ventures into a new genre that gives her the opportunity to demonstrate her versatility. Her writing style is humorous and is characterized by a subtle comedy that reveals a wink even in more serious situations.
In 2022, the series LAST X-MAS, produced by Bantry Bay for RTL+, was released, with Antonia as one of the co-writers. The following year, she assisted writer Richard Kropf on the feature film WOCHENENDREBELLEN, produced by Wiedemann & Berg and directed by Marc Rothemund. The film, starring Florian David Fitz, attracted over one million viewers. Antonia has already written multiple episodes of the popular crime series SOKO POTSDAM and is a key screenwriter for the UFA feature film EMIL UND DIE DETEKTIVE (directed by Florian Dietrich), which will receive project funding from Medienboard in 2025.
