Cristina do Rego (she/her) grew up in an artistic household and put her creative ideas on paper at an early age. For a long time, the Brazilian-born actress was primarily known in the film industry as an actress, but Cristina has built up a second mainstay over the years: writing. As a writer for the ZDFneo late-night show "Edins Neo Night", she has been demonstrating her talent as a show writer and producer since 2024. Together with her colleague and co-author Jasmin Schwiers, she is currently developing a comedy series at the renowned production company Rat Pack, which has been in the works since 2024
Cristina has never been someone who has allowed herself to be restricted by preconceived role models. She sees the creative pigeonholes that are so often imposed in the film industry as an obstacle rather than a guide. Her strength lies in telling stories that question clichés and open up new perspectives - courageously, authentically and with a flair for strong characters and unusual themes.
Cristina is currently working on her short film debut Nevermind (working title), which she will realize as a director. This project marks an important step in her creative development and shows her vision of breaking new ground and focusing on diverse stories.
