Hannah-Chioma Ekezie

Schauspiel
“Immer wenn ich eine Rolle verkörpern darf, suche ich nach Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschieden. Es überrascht mich, wie oft ich dann doch viele Parallelen zwischen einer Figur und mir finde, bei der es zunächst weniger erwartbar scheint. Ich kann mich besser kennenlernen, entdecke neue Seiten an mir und bin immer wieder aufs Neue erstaunt und dankbar für diese Reise.”

About

HANNAH CHIOMA EKEZIE (pronouns: she/her) gained her first stage experience at the age of seven in the children’s choir of the Bavarian State Opera. This early exposure to performance, acting, and singing sparked a passion for the stage that she has pursued with great dedication ever since.

From the age of ten to fifteen, Hannah was part of the popular children’s series “Kika Tanzalarm.” During this time, she had the opportunity to experiment with different singing styles. Today, her favorite music genres are jazz, soul, and R&B. At the same time, her participation in the series also sparked a strong passion for dancing. At the age of eleven, Hannah began taking intensive dance lessons at various dance schools. Her training covered a wide range of styles, from jazz, ballet, and contemporary to hip-hop, street style, heels dance, and voguing. Voguing, a dance style that originated in “ballroom culture,” plays a special role in Hannah’s life. She has been part of this culture for three years and competes in the “Face” category. The community gives her a sense of freedom and belonging and allows her to fully express her extravagant and expressive side.

After successfully graduating from high school last year, Hannah now teaches at two dance schools in Munich. She also performs regularly on stage, including at the Residenztheater and the Kammerspiele, and is taking on more roles in film and television productions.

In 2025, Hannah appeared in the film adaptation of the bestseller 22 BAHNEN, directed by Mia Maariel Meyer, in theaters across Germany, as well as on stage at the Residenztheater in Munich in the play DADDY by Marion Siéfert and Matthieu Bareyres and CABARET by Joe Masteroff (book), John Kander (music), and Fred Ebb (lyrics).

In May 2026, she began filming for a German streaming series and attended the Giles Foreman Seminar in London.
