Langston Uibel (he/him) born in 1998 in London, is a British-German actor. He became known for his roles in several Netflix productions, including DOGS OF BERLIN, HOW TO SELL DRUGS ONLINE (FAST), and the Emmy-nominated miniseries UNORTHODOX.
In 2023, he was part of the main cast of Christian Petzold’s *Red Sky*, which premiered in the competition section of the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival and won the Silver Bear – Grand Jury Prize. The film was released in German theaters in 2023.
In 2024, Uibel made his stage debut at the Burgtheater in Vienna as “Demetrius” in *A Midsummer Night’s Dream*, directed by Barbara Frey. That same year, he was honored as an international talent at the Black Nights Film Festival in Tallinn and received the Jupiter Award for “Best National Actor (Film).” In 2025, the versatile German-British artist produced a cinema advertisement for Berlin’s KaDeWe—also working behind the camera as an executive producer.
In 2026, Uibel joined the cast of the second season of *HIJACK* as a new series regular alongside Idris Elba, premiering worldwide on Apple TV, and was honored with the 2026 NEW FACES AWARD.
In addition, Langston Uibel will make his international festival debut in 2026 with Jasmin Baumgartner’s debut feature film 2 HOT 2 TO DIE (working title), appear on camera in Romina Küper’s feature film debut HYPER BABY (AT), appear on a prestigious stage at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf in DIE MÖWE, directed once again by Barbara Frey, and star in BIBI BLOCKSBERG – DIE VERHEXTE ZEITREISE (directed by Gregor Schnitzler), which will open in theaters across Germany on September 24, 2026.
