Roxana Samadi (she/her) was born in 2001 in Cologne and has been working as an actress since her youth. At the age of 13, she made her debut as a voice actress, lending her voice to the cat Findus in the three successful feature films PETTERSSON UND FINDUS (directed by Ali Samadi Ahadi).
She gained widespread recognition for her impressive portrayal of Rasaq in two seasons of the award-winning series PARA – WIR SIND KING (directed by Özgür Yildirim), which won the German Television Award. In 2023, she appeared in TATORT – PYRAMIDE (directed by Charlotte Rolfes) as well as MORDSCHWESTERN – DAS CHAMÄLEON. At the turn of the year 2024/25, she recorded the voice-over for the audio drama podcast 1001 NACHT with Deutschlandfunk, which will be available from February 28, 2025.
Roxana has a deep passion for filmmaking and a strong interest in social issues. As the daughter of an Iranian family, she is committed to giving a voice to German-Iranians living in the diaspora. In 2024, she won the Audience Award at FILMFEST HAMBURG for her directorial work FREIHEIT IM HERZEN.
